The Mark of the Beast

by Britt Gillette

The Bible says a day will come when the whole world will be ruled by an evil dictator – the Antichrist. This one man will dominate the world politically, economically, and religiously (Revelation 13:1-18). People will actually worship him (Revelation 13:12), and he will force them to accept a mark on the right hand or forehead (Revelation 13:16). If they refuse, they will lose all ability to buy or sell anything.

For years, people have wondered what this mark will look like, and while we can speculate, we’re no closer to knowing what the mark will look like than we’ve ever been. That said, we do know that the implementation of this mark is not some far off event centuries in the future. How can I be so sure? Because Jesus Himself said so.

A Sign For The Rapture?

by Grant Phillips

Most people have an idea of the coming Biblical judgment on earth, although their skepticism may override their thinking on the matter. It is portrayed on the evening news and in the Hollywood movies. Armageddon, for example, is a term used often by the secular world, even though they have little to no knowledge of the subject matter. Rapture, Tribulation, Armageddon, these words are thrown around like rice at a wedding, usually in order to induce excitement or to make a point. I’m still speaking of the secular part of society of course. Unfortunately, many Christians are no more educated on these terms than they.

My only intent at this time is to clear up a misconception about the Rapture. Is there anything that must be fulfilled before the Rapture can take place? For those who may not know what I mean by “Rapture,” it is the event when Jesus Christ comes for His Church, His Bride, and removes all true Christians from the earth prior to the beginning of the seven years of Tribulation.

Why Ezekiel 38 Will Precede Daniel 9

by Jack Kelley

“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.

“Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble”(Daniel 9:24-25).

Dispensationalists believe, with good reason, that there’s one “seven” left to fulfill from the promise the angel Gabriel delivered to Daniel near the end of the Babylonian captivity. From the King James translation we know the prophecy as Daniel’s 70 weeks, where each week represents 7 years. 69 of these weeks (7 plus 62) had passed when the Messiah presented Himself to Israel as their King on the only day in His life that He did so. On our calendar it became known as the first Palm Sunday.

Israel’s ”Alleged” Temple

by Jack Kinsella

One would think that, of all the possible efforts to revise history imaginable, the piece of history that would be the hardest to revise would be to deny the historical existence of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem.

First, the Bible is filled with references to a Jewish Temple. And the Dead Sea Scrolls discovered in 1947 in Qumron have conclusively and undeniably confirmed that the Biblical record is unchanged since the scrolls were buried there in AD 70.

Secondly, the Qumrom discovery included hundreds of Temple artifacts, documents, drawings, and other forms of historical confirmation as to the existence of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem up until the time of the Qumrom community’s destruction around AD 70.

Ready or Not!

By Donna Wasson

Here it comes. As the march towards the Utopian lie of a ‘New World Order’ continues its inevitable encroachment on society, the demise of cash and coins is coming, and very soon. Once all cash transactions are eliminated and all banking, buying and selling is conducted digitally, the segue into a one world society and government will be seamless. If you think about it, America has almost accomplished this transition.

Only 7% of all transactions in the U.S. involve cash and these are usually for small purchases, such as coffee, or paying for a burger in the drive-thru. Medium to large transactions are overwhelmingly paid for with credit or debit cards. We don’t even think twice about whipping out that plastic card, swiping it in the little machine and entering our secret pin number. We’ve been doing it for years. Behavioral conditioning at its finest.

The Powerful Delusion

by Jack Kelley

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thes. 2:9-12)

It’s no secret that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad  is preoccupied with the coming of a Shiite Islamic messiah figure, al Mahdi.  This continues to generate concern that a nuclear-armed Iran would create the kind of global chaos he believes will be necessary to set the stage for the Mahdi’s return.  Recent events  seem to confirm this.  For example, after years of promising that their nuclear ambitions are purely peaceful, Iran just announced their intention to test a 1 kiloton nuclear warhead this year. Iran’s Supreme Leader is thought to favor announcing Iran’s nuclear capability as an accomplished fact as soon as possible.

A Cup of Trembling

by Jack Kelley

This is the word of the Lord concerning Israel. The Lord, Who stretches out the Heavens Who lays the foundations of the Earth, and Who forms the spirit of man within him declares, “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem.

On that day when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves” (Zech 12:1-3).

Target: Tel Aviv

by Gary Stearman

War talk is more than an idle threat. It is the spillover of language that has taken place behind the scenes after diplomacy has failed.

Historically, the reality of an impending war can be measured by the language used by opponents as the horrific day of actual battle approaches. In 1936, Fascists and Republicans clashed in Spain. Extreme Leftists purged the moderates in Soviet Russia. Even in the United States, rightists vigorously opposed Roosevelt’s growing statist tendencies. In 1937, pastors were jailed by the Nazis in Germany. The Japanese bombed Shanghai. Chiang Kai-shek of China joined with Mao Tsetung to oppose Hirohito’s forces. Then, the Chinese broke and Chinese Communism exploded.

World Population Reaches 7 Billion: Signs of the Days of Noah

by Rob Robinson

Statisticians report that the word has reaches 7 billion souls.  With the massive increase in world population one wonders at the prophetic implications of such a monumental pinnacle. The last time the world population reached 7 billion, it was during the days of Noah. According to Mathematicians, the population of the earth after Adam, grew exponentially due to the life span of man being over 900 years. Using an algebraic calculation, the number of human beings at the time of Noah and the flood, could easily have been 7 billion people.

Jesus said that “As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be”.

Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.

Through The Veil

By Matt Leasher

One of the most significant questions that the Bible answers and reveals to mankind is what happens after we die, or as I prefer to say, pass on.  Many view death as the complete end of their life and in an earthly physical sense it is, but it isn’t the end of our conscience mind and spirit.  King Solomon writing about what happens when we pass on from this earthly existence said this:

“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it”. (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

I especially like the warning that he gives in the verse just prior:

“Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed” (Ecclesiastes 12:6)
