Primeval Evil

by Pete Garcia

But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.  Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.  Luke 17:25-30

Many Christians who are interested in eschatology (the study of last things), often inquire of teachers and each other, as to when they should reasonably expect our Lord Jesus Christ to return for His bride, the Church.  In regards to this question and by way of a disclaimer, I don’t have or pretend to know a specific time or date.  Jesus stated that ‘no man would know the day or hour’.

The Convergence of End Times Signs

By Britt Gillette

For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.” Revelation 19:10 (NLT)

Almost two thousand years ago, Peter prophesied about the end times. He said just before Jesus returns, people will openly mock the Second Coming. They’ll say, “What happened to Jesus? I thought He was coming back? Yet everything remains the same as it has since the world first began” (2 Peter 3:3-4). I’ll bet you’ve heard this argument many times. But is it true? Is the world of today “the same as it’s always been”? Absolutely not. In fact, it’s absurd to say it is.

The Rise and Fall of the Antichrist

By Dr. David R. Reagan

The Bible teaches that in the end times, right before the return of Jesus, the greatest political leader in the history of Mankind will emerge from Europe. After taking over that area by diplomatic cunning and deceit, he will launch a military campaign that will result in his acquiring “authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation” (Revelation 13:7). His empire will be the most extensive in all of history, encompassing the entire world, and his rule will be the most demonic the world has ever experienced.

The Coming Destruction of Damascus

by Britt Gillette

Did you know Damascus is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world? For at least 5,000 years, someone has called Damascus home, and some historians believe the city dates back as far as the seventh millennium BC.

Yet, despite its long history, the Bible says Damascus will come to a sudden end. It won’t slowly fade away, but will disappear in an instant. Damascus will be utterly destroyed – never to be inhabited again. Don’t believe me? Then open your Bible.

An End Times Sign More Important Than Israel?

By Dr. David R. Reagan
Founder & Director, Lamb & Lion Ministries
On the March 8th edition of the radio program Prophecy Update, I was interviewed by Bill Salus, author of the popular Psalm 83-themed book Isralestine and evangelist on the end times website Prophecy Depot. Bill and I spent much of the interview discussing how mankind is living on borrowed time. The fact that all the end times Bible prophecies are presently stage-setting evidences that the return of Christ in the Rapture could happen at any moment.

Many people like Joel Rosenberg dismiss Psalm 83 as an end time war and point instead to the war of God & Magog in Ezekiel 38 and 39 as the next end time prophetic war that will take place in the Middle East. But, there are many other respected Bible prophecy experts who argue strongly that the next end time war prophesied for the Middle East is the one described in Psalm 83.

A major controversy has erupted in recent years among Bible prophecy experts who believe in Premillennialism, the view that Jesus will return to this earth at the end of the Tribulation to reign for a 1,000 years. The controversy centers around Psalm 83.

It began in 2008 with the publication of this book Isralestine by Bill Salus of Prophecy Depot Ministries. The thesis of this book is that Psalm 83 describes an end time war between Israel and the nations that share a common border with it, namely Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

The Three Questions Of Matt. 24

by Jack Kelley

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matt. 24:3)

One of the mistakes Christians make in reading the Bible is caused by our tendency to look at everything through “Church colored glasses.”  By that I mean we read it as if it all applies directly to us without regard for the context or historical background.  I know Paul said everything that was written in the past was written to teach us (Romans 15:4) but that doesn’t mean it was all written to us or about us.  It means we’re supposed to learn from the experiences of those who came before us.  A prime example of this kind of mistake can be found in our interpretation of the Olivet Discourse (Matt. 24-25).  I’ll show you what I mean.

The End Times According To Peter

by Jack Kelley

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles. (2 Peter 3:1-2)

Peter wrote this letter, his final one, around 65 AD. He was probably in Rome at the time, since he was crucified in 68, though he may have still been in Babylon, where he’d written letter number one five years earlier.

His purpose in writing was three-fold: to stimulate spiritual growth among Christians, to combat the false teaching that was coming into the Church, and to emphasize the certainty of the Lord’s return. We’ll focus on this third purpose, which Peter addressed in chapter 3.

Is the turmoil in Egypt prophetic?

By Nathan Jones
Evangelist & Web Minister
Egypt has torn itself apart as their people riot and their military topples one government after another. What started out as the Arab Spring uprising has turned into a dark winter for Egypt. Hope naively is in the air that democracy and freedom will replace the old order, but fear is also tangible as the specter of Islamic Sharia Law rises to choke Egypt in its militaristic submission to Allah.

Mid East Update

by Jack Kelley

Recently several events in the Middle East have taken place that should be putting students of prophecy on high alert.

In Syria, the opposition is fragmenting as newly arrived Taliban fighters from Afghanistan have joined with alQaeda in what looks like an attempt to hijack the Free Syrian Army’s  rebellion against the Assad government. In the short term this means the Syrian opposition is focused more on the infighting among its own factions than on defeating the government forces. The Taliban and alQaeda alliance seems to be gaining the upper hand, which means any hope for a “moderate Muslim” government to replace Assad is quickly evaporating.
